Arundel is a hilltop town, dominated by the great castle and overlooking the river Arun. Like Petworth it is a centre for antiques. |

Positioned by the river in the exceptionally beautiful Rother Valley, Midhurst is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque towns in West Sussex. The town dates back to the 12th century and many buildings still survive from the 15th and 16th centuries (e.g. the Tudor Market Hall and the Spread Eagle Hotel). The interior of the library dates back even earlier. |
